Quality, Care, Value

At the Regional Water Authority (RWA), our mission is to provide customers with high-quality water and services at a reasonable cost while promoting the preservation of watershed lands and aquifers. We deliver this high-quality water directly to your tap around the clock for about a penny per gallon. That’s a small price to have a service so essential available at your fingertips at any time of day or night. Your water bill is made up of a service charge and a usage charge. The service charge pays for the fixed costs of providing water to your home, so water is there any time you turn on a faucet. The usage charge varies depending on how much water you have used in the preceding billing period. If you use less water, your usage charge will be lower. If you use more water, your usage charge will be higher. When you turn on the tap, it’s easy to see what your water bill buys. What’s not as easy to see is what it takes for us to bring water straight to your home. It takes running four state-of-the-art treatment plants, maintaining over 1,700 miles of underground pipes, managing landholdings of almost 28,000 acres of watershed land, conducting over 104,000 drinking water tests per year, safely operating a myriad of equipment, and a team of dedicated, skilled employees working 24/7 to produce and deliver abundant, reliable, high-quality water. All of this is included in your service charge! Water is one of the most economical services you pay for, and you get a lot of value for your money.
