Internship Opportunities

The water industry, like many others, faces challenges related to an aging workforce. As experienced professionals retire, there is a pressing need to attract and train new talent to ensure the continuity and resilience of water services.

Internships provide a pathway for students and young professionals to enter this critical field.

RWA internships offer invaluable hands-on experience that cannot be fully replicated in an academic setting. Interns learn about the daily operations, maintenance, and management of water utilities, gaining insights into the complexities of water treatment, distribution and conservation. This practical exposure helps interns apply theoretical knowledge to real-world situations, enhancing their learning and making them more effective in their future careers.

We have three available internship paths to explore depending on your level of education and your career interests.

Summer Internship

During the months of June to August, high school and college students have the opportunity to gain firsthand experience collaborating with seasoned professionals. This program offers exposure to various facets of environmental science, engineering and Human Resources, enabling participants to apply their academic acumen to practical scenarios in the professional realm.
