James Hill

General Manager and Head of Operations

Jim started his career in the water industry more than 30 years ago, drilling naturally developed wells with his father on Cape Cod. He has been with the RWA for more than 20 years, having previously served as Interim Head of Operations. Prior to the RWA, he worked at the Connecticut Water Company, where he served as Chief Operator, and Manchester Water and Sewer. During his time at the RWA, he has focused on adding automation, improving water quality, and enhancing system resilience to deliver high-quality water and meet or exceed our customers’ expectations.

Jim has a bachelor's degree in geology and geophysics from the University of Connecticut, and has published scholarly articles in geology and in the water utility field.
