NEW HAVEN, Conn. — January 27, 2025 — The Regional Water Authority (RWA) has teamed up with the Town of Guilford to offer the RWA’s WellSafe℠ protection to town residents with private wells and water systems.
The collaboration provides the town’s residents with the access to the RWA’s affordable WellSafe℠ Complete protection plan, which covers repairs and services that are not typically covered by homeowner’s insurance. The town will receive a recurring revenue share annually for every resident who signs up for the plan.
Prospective customers should call 203-401-6789.
The WellSafe℠ Complete plan available to Guilford residents includes:
The agreement imposes no costs or administrative burdens on the Town of Guilford. In addition to the revenue-sharing mechanism, the town will help identify and reach residents who might benefit from WellSafe℠ protection.
“This collaboration is a win-win for the Town of Guilford and its residents,” said Prem Singh, the RWA’s Vice President for Customer Care and Chief Information and Digital Officer. “Guilford homeowners can save thousands of dollars in unexpected repairs. And they can also rest easy, knowing their well and water system have been inspected, their water quality has been tested, and if there’s a problem they can call us any time, night or day.”
Guilford First Selectman Matt Hoey said the program enhances the suite of services available to the town’s residents while helping to support the municipal budget.
“WellSafe℠ Complete provides Guilford residents with an additional way to protect their most valuable asset — their home — from unexpected and costly emergencies, while the revenue-sharing model helps drive dollars back into the community,” he said.
