In The Community

To show our appreciation, the RWA has created the Emergency Responder Grant Program to benefit local fire departments and emergency service organizations.

These grants provide financial assistance to fire and emergency organizations serving communities in the RWA's service area. Grants are awarded to cover the costs associated with purchasing personal protective gear, communications equipment, firefighting/emergency responder tools, water handling equipment, training and related activities/materials used to support community fire protection. Reimbursement for specific fire training classes and EMS classes, including the cost of training manuals and student workbooks, is also eligible.

Individuals are not eligible to receive grants. Only uniformed fire departments and EMS serving the RWA’s service territory are eligible to receive funding. Regional or county-wide applications are encouraged to maximize the number of fire and emergency organizations that would benefit from the grants. The maximum grant amount is $2,000.
