Our recreation areas are rich with opportunities for both amateur and professional photographers.
Our Annual Photography Contest
Each year, we conduct our photography contest for recreation permit holders. Permit holders are invited to submit up to five photographs in one of five categories: Wildlife, Plants, Water Scenes, General Scenes, and People Recreating. The only stipulation is that the photograph must be taken at any of our Regional Water Authority recreation areas. Members of our boards rank the photos. The four photos with the most points in each category are deemed the finalists. The top point-getter in each category is declared the winner at our annual recreation meeting. Each winner receives a $100 gift certificate. The finalists also received prizes.
